Gerry Ronald Brian Dickson, also known as “Weird Mike”, age 53, of Jensen Beach, Florida, formerly of Paducah, Kentucky, passed peacefully on June 28, 2024 at the West Palm Beach, VA hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Seiko Dickson, parents Gerry J. Dickson and Rhonda Simpson (Stepdad, Steve). He is also survived by his children Zomi and Sachi Dickson, sisters Julie Plunkette, Jennifer Dickson, and Haley Dickson, and grandson Sebastian as well as many other loved ones who love and miss him dearly.
Brian attended Paducah Tilghman High School before joining the United States Marine Corps. His military service took him to Okinawa, Japan as well as Somalia and South Korea. After his service he worked as a Riverboat Pilot until his move to Florida where he resided and enjoyed many hobbies and life in “Paradise”. As a Marine, Father and friend to many, Brian loved riding his motorcycle alongside his Marine Corps Leatherneck brothers. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, Owen. Brian will be remembered for his strength, work ethic and willingness to help anyone in need. He also loved to travel and had seen China, Ireland and Hawaii, just to name a few.
Services will be held on October 6, 2024 at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah, Kentucky with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and a Service at 1:00 PM. Brian will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, Kentucky following the service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Friends of Fisher House at the West Palm Beach VA, 7305 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33410.
