Glenn Howard Sanderson

Glenn Howard “Poppy” Sanderson, 86, of Farmington, Ky., passed away on Friday evening, January 3rd, 2025 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Glenn was an accomplished business owner as well as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather all of his life. He was an avid lover of outdoor wildlife, loved to ride horses, and enjoyed a good auction. Glenn was also a member of the Silver Sneakers club.

Glenn is survived by three children, Gary Glenn Sanderson of Cibilo, Tx., Pamela (Larry) Woods of Paducah, and William Howard Sanderson of Cibilo, Tx.; two sisters, Betty McBroom of Sulfer Springs, Mo., and Wanda Norden of Brosley, Mo.; seventeen grandchildren, Marvin, Mike, Chris, Jenny, Kenneth, Heather, Nick, Stacey, Aaron, Josh, Brandon, Brad, Will, Shannon, Miranda, Ashley, and Amanda; nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; friends from the Silver Sneakers club; and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Melba Jean Sanderson; his parents, William Howard Sanderson and Mildred Gillihan Sanderson; one sister, Besse Minehart; one brother, Donald Sanderson; one great grandson, William Tyler Finley.

A celebration of life will be held and announced by the family at a later date.
