Greg Davidson

Gregory Allen Davidson, 71, of Paducah, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Baptist Health Hospital.

Greg was an avid genealogist and die hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and sweet iced tea. He served during the Vietnam conflict and held a variety of jobs throughout his life, which yielded an untold number of stories that he was always happy to share. Greg was raised in church but didn’t officially come to know Jesus Christ as his savior until he met his wife Carmen in 1972. He loved her dearly and taught his children to always leave things better than we found them.

Greg is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carmen; brothers, Gary and Perry, and their wives and children; and children, David, Beth and Chris, and their respective wives and partners. Preceding Greg in death are his father, David C. Davidson and mother, Mary Katherine Gregory, as well as his beloved maternal and paternal grandparents.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory are welcome to Paducah’s Community Life Church, Baptist Health's Foundation, or Mercy Health's Hospice and Home Care.
