Herbert Keith

Herbert Leo “Herbie” Keith, age 62, of West Paducah passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1:05 p.m. at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Lindsey Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery in West Paducah.

Herbie was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during Vietnam. He worked for over 27 years as a diesel mechanic for the railroad and he attended West End Baptist Church. He loved music and playing his guitar, he loved working on any kind of machinery; and he loved fishing and gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Herbie is survived by his wife of over 18 years, Carolyn; one daughter, Kelly Keith of West Paducah; one son, Marty Keith of Franklin, Tennessee; two brothers, Donnie Keith of Benton, Ky. and George Keith; two sisters, Sheila Clark of Louisville, KY and Evangeline Keith of Lexington, Ky. and two grandchildren, Rachel Keith of Franklin, TN and Branston Keith York of West Paducah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hoben and Martha Ree (Alexander) Keith; two brothers, Jessie Keith and Junior Keith; two sisters, Margaret Nicholin and Carolyn Sue Keith; one nephew, Joey Muccigrosso and one great-niece, Kimberly Hope Page.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Lindsey Funeral Home.
