Howard Ewel Walker, 75, of Benton passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Walker was a retired sales representative for Hostess and Colonial Bread Company. He served in the U.S Army during the Berlin Crisis and was a member of the West End Baptist Church. In his spare time, Howard enjoyed fishing, watching UK basketball and spending time with his grandchildren. His lifelong passion was playing the steel guitar and he was a member of the Stanley Walker Band for 40 years.
Surviving is his daughter, Kathy Walker Champa and husband Joey of Lexington; one brother, Benny Walker of Tiline; triplet granddaughters, Aniston, Brooklyn, and Carson Champa all of Lexington; his namesake, Walker Champa of Lexington; two nieces, Christy Davidson and husband Robby of Tiline, Tammy Walker of Tiline; and longtime companion, Sylvia Duncan of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elwanda Walker. His parents were James and Christine Walker.
Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County.
Friends may call from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.
