Huguette “Frenchie” Adam, 90, of Paducah, passed Monday, April 17, 2023 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Frenchie was a small but fierce soul. Frenchie was born in Morocco and moved to Algeria where she was raised before making the journey through Ellis Island. She was a typist for many years, typing up to 104 words a minute. She loved to play bingo and crochet. Her mornings were spent drinking her pot of coffee and watching her soap operas. Frenchie was an avid fan of Engelbert Humperdinck.
Frenchie is survived by four sons, Dennis (Nancy) Adam, Richard (Paula) Adam, Phillip (Terri) Adam, and Paul Adam; one sister, Yvette Marcus; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several loving extended family members in the United States and France.
Preceding Frenchie in death is her husband, George Adam; her parents, Marc Vertis and Henrietta Pastor; one daughter-in-law, Beth Adam; two sisters, and a brother.
A private family graveside will be held.
Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
