Ima Jean (Short) Gaines

Jean Gaines, 83, of Benton died on Wednesday, 6, 2018 at her home.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Natalie Edwards of Benton; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta Link of Paducah, Leslie Baugus of Reidland, and Brenda Wood of Smithland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Demetric Gaines; her parents, Roman Short and Sue Wesmolian; one son, Randy Gaines; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Nix officiating. Burial will follow at Groves Chapel Cemetery in Tiline.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
