Ima Waid

Mrs. Ima Lee Waid, 79, of Symsonia died Monday at Lourdes Hospital.

Mrs. Waid was a retired homemaker and a member of Crossroads Church in Mayfield, KY.

Surviving are two sons; Kenneth R. Waid of Paducah, and Allen (Patricia) Waid of Mayfield, three daughters; Sharon (Robie) Hunt of Symsonia, Pamela (Nick) Buford of Symsonia, and Donna (Sam) Ashley of Paducah, one brother; Jesse Sweeney of St. Louis, MO, two sisters; Pauline Flynn of Chicago, IL, and Betty Urbanoski of Chicago, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; William Calvin Sweeney and Izey Mae Sweeney, her spouse; Junior Ray Waid, three brothers, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1pm on Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia, KY.
