Smithland

Jackie L. Bryan, 80, of Smithland, KY, formerly of Clinton, Ky and Sardis, MS passed away early Tuesday morning, November 28, 2023 at his home.

Jackie was born on December 15, 1942, son of Woodrow and Virginia Bryan, both deceased.

Jackie lived life to the fullest. He was a car salesman for most of his life, enjoying nothing more than making a good sale. He loved to hunt with his sons, other family members and friends, with a quail hunt being one of his favorites. He and his wife, Susie, often went on horseback riding trips, enjoyed fishing together and sharing many great meals of filleted fish with family and friends. Early in his life, Jack was a veteran, having served in the Navy and later in the Marine Corp.

Besides his wife, Susie who survives, Jack leaves behind his sons, Steve (Sandi)Bryan of Paducah, KY, E.T.{Claire) Trujillo of Mandeville, LA,  his daughters, Teresa Labra, San Diego, CA,  Genevieve McCollum of Woodland Mills, TN, and Doreen Taylor, of South Fulton, TN., stepchildren, Tammy(Paul)  St. Summers, Byhalia, MS, Sandy Gorman, South Haven, MS, Tommy(Cindy) Saint, Memphis, TN,  Nancy Motley Miller, Birmingham, AL, and Patrick(Cristal) Motley, Rowlett, TX, his grandchildren, Blake (Erica)Bryan, Kayla Gray, Blake Record, Alexis (Vinny)Tomassi, Morgan (Christian)Lacey, Dwight Turner, and Eric (Rhonda)Rowland, Marie Bugg, South Haven, MS, Ashley Motley and Kayla Motley, Madison Miller, Phobe Miller and Austen Miller; great granddaughters, Ava Bryan and Willow Record and great grandsons,  Aiden and Anderson Murillo

Also surviving is his sister, Sherry (David)Allison of Clinton, KY as well as his nephews, Mike Bryan, Danny Bryan, Jeremy Bugg and Barry Bryan and a niece, Lori Hales and several great nieces and great nephews.

Additionally, several family members knew and loved him as their Papa Jack.

Other than his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Bryan, and Bobby Bryan, brother-in-law, Jacky Daugherty.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 16 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, KY from 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, KY.
