Jacob Edward Lilienthal, 71, of Kevil died Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital. He was born in Lily, Illinois on September 13, 1938. His parents were Chris R. Lilienthal (deceased) and Viola Dorothy Lilienthal of Bloomington, Illinois. He married Jane Phillips in August of 1959. They have four children. Steven Lilienthal of Kevil. Donald Lilienthal of Canton, Michigan, Pamela Hurst of Calvert City, Ky. And Michael Lilienthal of Paducah. He is survived by His loving wife of 50 years, his mother and sisters Mary Schroeder , and Nancy Griffin both of Bloomington, Il. Four children, three grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren.
He worked for the G.M. & O .Railroad in Bloomington, I.C.G. Railroad in Paducah and at Woodcrest shop in Chicago. Jake loved bow hunting and bow fishing, he was a member of the Purchase Bow Hunting Club, and the United Bow Hunters Club. He fought a hard battle for 10 months against his cancers. Jake is finally at peace. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7PM Friday. Visitation will be from 6PM until 9PM at Lindsey Funeral Home.
