James C. “Jim” Crider, 83, of Paducah died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Crider was a member of Southland Baptist Temple where he was an usher and also helped with the Nursing Home Ministry for many years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia June Crider; two sons, Kent (Sherry) Crider of Cape Girardeau, MO and Steve (Donna) Crider of Marion, KY; four daughters, Donna Pace of Paducah, KY, Phyllis Davis of FL, Patty Council of Scottsdale, AZ, and Kaye Keiler of Paducah, KY; three sisters, Dean Cone of FL, Phyllis Clowers of TN, and Madeline Belt of Marion, KY; two brothers, Wayne Crider of Marion, KY, and Roger Stewart of Marion, KY; ten grandchildren, Justin Crider, Kellye Harper, Kendra Rinehart, Kathryn Keiler, Zack Keiler, Kayla Downs, Krista Reed, Shana Storm, Eric Taylor, and Adam Taylor; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Rose Thompson Crider; two brothers, Bill Crider and Rob Crider; and six sisters, Juanita Freer, Helen Catilla, Lonnie Craze, Rosa Nell Hillyard, Martha Scott, and Iris Brantley.
Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah. Funeral service will start at 7:00 pm, Friday, at the funeral home with Bro. Topper Council and Pastor Dean Cone officiating.
Burial will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00am at Crayne Cemetery in Crayne, KY.
