James Harrison Smith

James H. Smith, 83, of Paducah died on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Smith was a retired minister and maintenance worker. He was a member of Congregational Holiness Church of Paducah and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are five sons, Paul David Smith of California, Samuel Lee Smith of South Carolina, Lawrence Arthur Cooper of Mississippi, Darrin Scott Cooper of Illinois, and David Darnell Cooper of TN; four daughters, Candi Christine Howard of Tennessee, Lori Ann Scheiderer of Washington State, Tammy Jane Smith of North Carolina, and April Leona Eads of TN; five brothers; two sisters; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hayden Smith and Hattie Mae Catherine Kinder; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral service will be at 10:30am on Thursday at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Schriefer officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be at 4:00pm at Odum Cemetery in Auburntown, TN.
Friends may visit the family from 9:00am to service hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
