James Andrew "Andy" Hovekamp

Andy Hovekamp, 71, of Paducah, passed away at the Continuing Care Center in Baptist Health of Paducah on Sunday morning, September 3rd, 2023.

Andy was a great Dad, Uncle, Brother, and Friend. Any role he did with excellence. Loved UK basketball and Cardinals Baseball. He was an avid Hunter who was the current patriarch of the “Squirrel Camp”. Andy also had a big heart for his faithful dog Apollo.

Andy is survived by two children, Derric (Katie) Hovekamp of West Paducah, and Carrie (Jacob) Harshman of Calvert City; five siblings, Jean Ramage, Judy Shoulders, Bobbie (John) Brunn, Karlene Hatton, and Teddy Hovekamp; six grandchildren, Lexi and Isaac Hovekamp, Landon and Evelyn Harshman, and Analeigh and Eli Claxton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, Karl Hovekamp and Mary Urel Jackson Hovekamp.

Friends may call on the family at a celebration of Life that will be held on September 24th, 2023 at the family farm.
