James H. Neuner, 70, of Paducah died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at his home.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Lindsey Funeral Home.
He was a former police officer in the St. Louis area before moving to Paducah and beginning his career as a pastry chef on the Mississippi Queen Steamboat.
He is survived by three children, Debbra Lynn Neuner Holt and husband Greg, Tonya Orvetta Neuner Newton and husband Teddie, and Nevelyn Rose Neuner; a brother, Stanley Neuner; and one sister, Rosalie Brauks. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brandon Holt, Whytnie Goodmon, Christopher Newton and Justin Newton; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Goodmon and Austin Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Regina Schmidt Neuner, and six brothers and sisters.
Mr. Neuner was of the Catholic faith, a former member of Hendron Lions Club, a former member of the Hendron Fire Department, and a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a former President of the Eagles Club.
