James Jim F. Reidy, 61, of Paducah died at 9 a.m. Sunday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Reidy was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam era. He was a driver for Paducah Area Transit System. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1191, and the American Legion Post 31, both in Paducah.
He is survived by two daughters, Christine Galinsky and husband, John, of Lemont, Ill., and Shannon Stiles and husband, Dr. Richard Stiles, of Chicago, Ill.; 2 granddaughters, Samatha Galinsky and Jessica Galinsky of Lemont; 2 sisters, Nancy Kapp of Chicago and Barbara Heidegger of Orland Park, Ill.; and a dearest friend, Phil Christiano of Barlett, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Marie Jacob Reidy.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chicago, Ill., with Father Joseph Seiz officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
