James Sherer

James (Jim) Sherer, 57 passed away at 6:19 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Sherer was a retired line foreman with TVA. He was a loving husband and father, and enjoyed hunting, target shooting and making knives, as well as building computers.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Sherer; his parents, Billy H. and Jackie Sherer of Jasper, AL; three sons, Cory (Kendra) Sherer of Jasper, Patrick Tinsley of Louisville, and Alex (Lacy) Tinsley of Clinton, TN; two brothers, Tim (Jessica) Sherer and Thomas (Darlene) Sherer, both of Jasper; one sister, Suzette (Rodney) Grace of Jasper; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Coby Sherer; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by a son, Logan Sherer.
Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with Rob Gurganus officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County.
Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
