James Edward Tanner

James Edward Tanner, 44, of Eddyville, passed away Monday afternoon, January 29th, 2024 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center of Paducah.

James worked for Heartland Janitorial Services of Paducah. James loved to fish, spend time outside and work in carpentry as a hobby. James was a huge Cubs and Bears fan, but mostly loved spending time with the kids and family that made him happy.

James is survived by his wife of 3 years, Cynthia of Eddyville; 7 children, Madison, Maximus, James, Alexandra, Elizabeth (Micah Ballard), Hali, and Rachael; 2 God children, Morgan and Tobias; two siblings, Michelle Ellis of Chicago, and Jason Ellis of Eddyville; Mother, Cindy Ellis; Step father, Ralph Ellis; Mother and father in law, Donald Jr. and Debbie Armour; one granddaughter, Ava Ballard; Brother and sister in laws, Jeremy & Jennifer Armour, Amanda & Danny Blaylock, Holly and Charles Ford, & Tiffany & Chad Lauck; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life visitation and service will takes place on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 at Lindsey Funeral Home starting at 3pm with services starting at 5pm with Rev. Todd Hawkins officiating. Friends and family may visit the family from 3pm until the service hour.
