James Franklin Wright, 76, of Metropolis, IL passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Wright was a retired police chief for Cairo, Illinois, and a proud Vietnam Veteran where he served as an Army Ranger.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wright of Metropolis; one son, Chad Wright of Brighton, TN; three step sons, John Fowler of Paducah, KY, Charles Fowler of Draffenville KY. and Ryan Fairchild of Metropolis, IL; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Wright; one sister; and one brother.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday February 11, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home.
Graveside services with full military honors will be at 1:00pm at Mound City National Cemetery in Mounds City Illinois
