Jane Ellen Chester

Jane Chester, also known as “Grandma Jane”, 87, of Reidland passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah. 

Jane was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband at Chester, O’Donnelly & Associates. She loved spending time with her family. 

Surviving are her four children, David (Besty) Chester of Paducah, Bruce (Kim) Chester of Paducah, Scott Chester of Paducah, Stacey (William) Gregerson of Dardenne Prairie, MO; one sister, Sue (Don) Nave of Equality, IL ; two brothers, Tom (Debbie) Hughes of Orlando, FL and Gary (Pauline) Hughes of Russellville, AL; eleven grandchildren, Caitlin (Pat) Chester, Jarrad (Britney) Chester, Kristin Chester, Nick Bloodworth, Hannah Bloodworth, Meredith Hall, Sydney Gregerson, Riley Gregerson, Allaina Facio, Bill (Kelly) Gregerson, Kristine (Michael) Horst; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Chester, Emmett Gregerson, Almerik Horst, Stella Gregerson, Asher Horst, Auren Horst; two cousins, Melinda Adams and Jim Kinser; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded by in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Chester; one daughter, Nancy Jo Matlock, one brother, Rick Hughes; and her parents, Clyde and Kathryn Hughes.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Reidland United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. 

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday at Lindsey Funeral Home.
