Jean M Hollis

Jean M. Hollis, 87, of Paducah, passed away early Friday morning, April 6th, 2018 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab of Paducah.

Jean graduated Stewart County High School in Dover, TN. in 1948. In February,1948, she met the love of her life, William R. Hollis, and they were married in November of that same year. They were married for 40 years at the time of his passing. Jean has been in the Reidland area since 1964. Jean has loved Her family & friends all of her life. Jean was of the Methodist faith.

Jean is survived by two daughters, Joan (David) Jones of Kevil, and Jayne (Richard) McConnell of Paducah; three grandchildren, Michael (Rachel) Jones of Paducah, Emelia (Dwayne) Stone of Kevil, and Maxwell (Tara) McConnell of Seymore Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, N.C.; great grandchildren, Natalie, Anniston, and River McConnell, Hollis June Stone, Andrew, and Sam Jones; and special friends, Phlecia and Maurice Bynum, Ben Bynum, Susan Stone, Dr. LaNita Flannery,  Bill Carr; and many, many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law, Zantha and John Stavely; her parents, Rueben Andrew Meadows and Maude Adele Hamm; and many special friends and relatives.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah from five to seven pm. Funeral services will begin at 7pm. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Project Hope of Metropolis, IL.
