Jerry Lynn "Peanut" Higgins

Jerry Lynn “Peanut” Higgins, 83, of Metropolis passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Jerry was a retired electrician and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving is one son, Flint (Angie) Higgins of Metropolis; one brother, Charles Rankin of Mt. Vernon, IL; two sisters, Patty Rankin and Renee Rankin both of Paducah; two grandchildren, Ethan Higgins of Metropolis and Liam Higgins of Jackson, MO; and three great-grandchildren, Jameson Meadows, Adonis Higgons, and Daxton Higgons. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stacy Higgins; one grandson, Evan Higgins; and one brother, Rowland Rankin.

He will be cremated per his wishes and no services will be held.
