Jewell E. Crenshaw, 84, of Mayfield died Wednesday June 4th at Superior Care Home in Paducah.
Mr. Crenshaw was a member of the Mayfield local post number 26 of the American legion, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Mayfield. Mr. Crenshaw owned and ran a wrecker service in the area for over 37 years.
He is survived by his wife Susan; four sons, Jason Crenshaw of Wickliffe, Dennis Tharp of Fancy Farm, Jamie Tharp of Scott City, and Booby Tharp of Elizabethtown, Ky.; three daughters, Debbie Hayden of Paducah, Dorothy Dodson of Fancy Farm, and Marie Edwards of Clinton; one sister, Jean Williams of Paducah; 26 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Crenshaw; his parents, Claude and Rosella Alexander Crenshaw; one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 to 8pm at Lindsey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield with Deacon Michael Clapp officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.
