John Frank Gibbs, 78, of Paducah died on Monday June 9, 2014 at McCracken Nursing & Rehab.
Mr. Gibbs was the chief engineer at Midland Enterprises and an avid golfer at Paxton Park.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Aneda Gibbs of Paducah; two sons, Jimmy Gibbs of East Alton, IL, and Johnny Gibbs of East Alton, IL; three daughters, Kathy McClure of Morton, IL, Cindy Gibbs of East Alton, IL, and Robyn Midyett of Paducah; one brother, Gary Zakrzewski of East Alton, IL; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Gibbs and Ida Zakrzewski; one sister, Dorothy Holman; and one grandchild.
Services will be on Thursday June 12, 2014 at 1:00pm in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.
Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
