John Lawrence

John Lewis Lawrence, age 78, of Paducah, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home.

He was a 1955 graduate of Reidland High School and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a former member of the Carpenters Union Local 357.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Patricia Lawrence, of Paducah, and Beth Lawrence-Taylor, of Dyersburg, TN. 2 sons, Mike Lawrence, of Paducah, and Steven F. Lawrence, of Melber. Additional survivors include 1 brother, William Terry Lawrence, of Paducah, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchidren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Julia Ingram Lawrence; one son, Robert “Bobby” Lawrence, 2 sisters, Betty Madding and Shirley Nelson and 1 brother, Wallace Earl Lawrence. His parents were Wallace O. Lawrence and Emma Lou Green Lawrence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Friendship Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah.
