John Michael Ryan

John Michael Ryan, age 68, passed away on August 5th, 2021, in Paducah, KY. John was a veteran of the Army National Guard. John was a member of Salt & Light Church on Pugh Road. In his life, he worked as an Iron worker, owned his own home improvement business, and held patents for several inventions. He was also known as a poker and pool shark and loved his family and friends with kindness and loyalty. He loved to joke and laugh and was his children/grandchildren’s biggest fan. He was a storyteller who was well-traveled and lived a full life.

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheila Knoth Ryan; his 3 daughters, Letha Ryan (Paducah, KY), Johnna Ryan (Paducah, KY), and Bo Berryman (Doug) (Hartford, KY); his sister, Susie McManus (Henderson, KY); 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Ellen King Hutson and Glen D Hutson, his brother, Charles Ryan, and his sister, Annette McManus.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
