Joyce Ann (Vancil) Herron

Joyce Vancil Herron, 76, of Paducah, died peacefully on Sunday, March 26th, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
Joyce is a former LPN for Western Baptist Hospital of Paducah. She graduated Reidland High school in 1958 and graduated from the Western Baptist Hospital school of Nursing in 1965. Joyce married the love of her life, Alan E. Herron, on August 29th, 1966 and had two children and a 47 year life together. Joyce was of the Church of Christ faith.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, D’Arcy (Tildon) Beasley of Paducah, and Dara Herron of Paducah; two brothers, Glen Cyrus (Pat) Vancil of Paducah, and Leon (Marjo) Vancil of Paducah; one sister in law, Mari Anne Vancil of Colorado; one grandson, Lane Dunn of Paducah; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; her parents, Cyrus Otto and Dulcie Dublin Vancil; one sister, Betty Lou Ottway; and one brother, Joe Franklin Vancil.
The family has requested that no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Lourdes Hospice program of Paducah.
