J.R. Hall

J.R. Hall, 78, of Metropolis passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Metropolis Nursing & Rehab in Metropolis.

Mr. Hall was a retired sign writer from Allied Chemical and of the Baptist faith. He was a musician and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Vickie Hall of Metropolis; four children, Cathy Hall of Metropolis, Jennifer (Chad) Bullock of Metropolis, Bob Hall of Golconda, Becky (John) Pruett of Paris, TX; nine grandchildren, Crysta Adamson, Travis (McCall) Adamson, Mason Corzine, Connor Winnans, Ella Winnans, Ali Hall, Raelynn Hall, Drew Ann Pruett, Hannah Pruett; two great-grandchildren, Casen Adamson and Jack Adamson.

He was preceded in death in death by one daughter, Lisa Hall; one grandson, Jackson Pruett; one brother, Howard Hall; three half-brothers; and two half-sisters. His parents were James and Altie Hall.

Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mason Corzine, Travis Adamson, Connor Winnans, Ethan Hornback, Paul Hornback, and Andy Pennington.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee McBride and Glen Pennington.
