Karen Sue Dowell

Karen Sue Dowell, 61, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah. 

Karen worked as an operator at Telephone Answering Service and was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbaby, boating, and fishing. 

Surviving is her husband of 28 years, Bobby Dowell; one son, Bobby Garrett (Courtney) Dowell III; one granddaughter, Evelyn Skye Mendoza; one nephew, Alan Gipson; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Jolena Gipson; and two sisters, Debra Gipson and Rita Browning. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremey Short officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. 

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
