Kris Lee McNichols

Kris L. McNichols, 50, of Metropolis passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, IL.

Kris was a chemical operator at Evonik in Calvert City. He attended Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Kris had a big love for family and friends and enjoyed spending time outdoors; hunting, fishing, and boating.

Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Lynn McNichols of Metropolis; one son, Kaleb (Morgen) McNichols of Metropolis; one daughter, Kelsey McNichols of Metropolis; his parents, Robert and Jo Ann McNichols of Metropolis; four siblings, Kevin (Sheila) McNichols of Metropolis, Keith (Kathy) McNichols of West Paducah, Karl (Connie) McNichols of Marion, IL, and Kim (Randy) Ro of West Paducah; his mother-in-law, Connie Henson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gerald Henson; and his grandparents, Jesse and Fleecie McNichols and Rev. Cecil and Jane Leek.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Waldo Baptist Church with Rev. David LeNeave and Rev. Trad York officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday at Waldo Baptist Church.
