Larry Joe Childs

Larry Joe Childs, 69, of Paducah passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home.

Larry was a retired Chief Deputy Jailer from McCracken County Jail and U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed camping, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with his friends and family.

Surviving are his two children, Corey Childs of Paducah and Ben (Jessica) Childs of Pilot Oak; one sister, Nancy Childs of North Carolina; one brother, Kenneth Childs of Paducah; and one grandson, Elijah Childs of Pilot Oak.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Childs; one brother, Stevie Childs; and one sister, Dottie Smith.

The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
