Larry Coley

Larry Gene Coley, 66, of Paducah died October 25, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.

Coley was a proud student of Franklin Junior High School, and in later years served as a union laborer during the construction of Smithland Dam. Coley and his wife are both of the Catholic faith, and both recently became members of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Paducah.

Coley is survived by his wife, Brenda Lane Coley; son, Larry Dwayne Coley of Paducah; daughter, Lori Coley Holmes of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; brother, Kenneth Joe Coley of Marshall County; stepson, Terry Hayden of Paducah; grandsons, Brandon L. Coley and Brent L. Coley; granddaughters, Brittany H. Coley and Brianna A. Holmes; stepgrandsons, Mark A. Holmes and Trevor Hayden; stepgranddaughters, Lacey Hayden and Paige Hayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Everette and Gertrude Cope Coley; sister, Meleda Faye Coley Cain of Paducah; brother, Donnie Dewayne Coley of Paducah; son, Loren Daniel Coley of Paducah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Lindsey Funeral Home. Reverend Joel Harper will officiate. Interment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 5 to 8 for friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
