Larry Earl Powell

Larry Earl Powell, 86, of Hendersonville, TN formerly of Paducah, KY and Rantoul, IL passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at TriStar Hospital in Hendersonville, TN.

Larry was a retired principal of from Heath High School and Northview Elementary School and a member of Madison Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his family and watching Kentucky basketball.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Carol Powell of Hendersonville, TN; two children, Julie (Michael) Morgan of Madison, TN and Bennett (Diane) Powell of Brookston, IN; four grandchildren, Rhea Ann (Jason) Goodrich, Kelsey Morgan, Marissa Powell, and Drew Powell; two great-grandchildren, David Goodrich and Andy Goodrich; and his mother-in-law, Betty Hearn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Halene Powell; one sister, Marci Pfeiffer; and his father-in-law, Andy Hearn.

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow.
