Linda Tolen

Linda Lou Mason Tolen of Lone Oak, Kentucky sadly left this earth to go be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday morning at 5:35 am, March 15th, 2024, while at her home in Lone Oak. Linda was assisted and guided to her final resting place by her devoted granddaughter, Rachel Holder, and her faithful nephew and niece, Michael and Pam Faughn. Linda was 86 years young.

Linda was born at home in Graves County Kentucky on January 21, 1938, to Hilda Mae Thompson Labo and L.G. Mason. Linda was a beloved wife, aunt, grandmother, sister-in-law, friend, and most of all, mother to her three children Joey Horne, Kevin, and Brad Tolen. Linda attended Melber Schools and was the first graduating class of Lowes High School in 1955. Linda had lots of friends and enjoyed a vast social life. Her many hobbies included reading, cooking, collecting books, baking, clipping recipes, going to school, painting, traveling, and dancing with her socials club. Linda was a wealth of knowledge, especially when it came to gardening. She was also treasurer of Paducah Singles Connection, a faith based Christian singles group for many years. Most of all Linda loved the Lord and was a faithful member to Lone Oak First Baptist Church for 49 years.

Linda is survived by her granddaughter, Rachel Allison Holder of Lexington Kentucky and nephew and niece, Michael and Pam Faughn of Pope County Illinois.

Linda was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph Charles Horne Jr, Kevin Dwayne Tolen, Bradley Scott Tolen; former husband, Jo Horne of San Antonio Texas, Wayne Tolen of Paducah Kentucky, Owner and Operator of Tolen Marine; and Cousin Helen Gaines of Paducah Kentucky.

Linda's Memorial Service will be held at Lindsey's Funeral Home on Saturday the 23rd from 2-4.

Linda has asked that in lieu of flowers please donate in her honor to McCracken County Animal Shelter.
