Loleita Kay Citrano

September 1, 1959 — February 21, 2025

Hickory

Loleita Kay Cox Citrano, 65 of Hickory met her heavenly reward on Friday afternoon, February 21st, 2025 at Mercy Health/Lourdes Hospital of Paducah. Loleita was a retired retail worker who enjoyed having the time to work in her garden and yard. She also loved to cook and was very good at it. She was well known for ‘no bake oatmeal cookies’. Loleita was a loving wife, mother and caregiver for all she came in contact with. She was very much a peacemaker in the midst of chaos. She was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord and His presence. Her biggest hobby in her life though was her grandchildren. Every minute spent with them, was another one she loved.

Loleita is survived by her devoted and loving Husband of 31 years, Frank Citrano Jr.; four children, Danyaleita (Jamie) Spraggs of Hickory, Danielle (Aaron) Hayes of Wickliffe, Danene (Shane) Hayes of McEwen, Tn., and Danny Ray (Stacey) Gurley Jr. of Calvert City; two step sons, Corey (Jodi) Citrano of Coteau, La., and Travis (Natalie) Citrano of New Iberia, La.; seven siblings, Carl Wayne (Cindy) Cox of Metropolis, IL., Rita (Ricky) Moneaux of New Iberia, La, Cheri Bourque of New Iberia, La., Ricky Cox of Hickory, Ky., Barbie (Wayne) Baucum of Decatur, Ms., Lori (Lance) Dartez of New Iberia, La., and Shelia (Dennis) Durapau of Brookport; her mother, Letha Carol Weathersby; fourteen grandchildren, Brendon Spraggs, Brittany Spraggs, Noah Hayes, Isaiah Hayes, Elijah Hayes, Levi Hayes, Kiley Hayes, Daniel Hayes, Aiden Gurley, Avery Gurley, Alexis Citrano, Addison Citrano, Dominic Citrano, and Maddox Citrano; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Henry Cox; step parents, Shirley Cox and Pat Weathersby; brother, Larry Cox; and sister, Debbie McDonald.

A Celebration of life service has already been held for Loleita. Lindsey Funeral Home is taking care of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for the family to www.lindseyfuneral.com
