Loretta Ann Jones Van Camp

Loretta Jones Van Camp, 69, of Calvert City, passed away on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. 

Loretta, formerly working for MNX Trucking for many years, enjoyed many affects of life. Being a true California girl, she loved her surfing when possible. But her love of horseback riding became very evident after her parents moved her back to Kentucky. She also loved to spend time around the lakes hiking, and just enjoying nature. Loretta loved her family and spent many hours and days making happy memories. She had some wiener dogs that she also had some affection for as well. 

Loretta is survived by her husband, Steve of Benton; one son, Cary (Karen) Hargrove of Calvert City; three grandchildren, Katlynn (Jack) Johnson of Calvert City, Jasmine Hargrove of Calvert City, and Cara Hargrove of Calvert City; and four great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight E. Jones and June Mary Williams Jones; one son, Bryan McCown; and one sister, Bonnie June Borders. 

No public or family services will be held at this time.
