Louis “Bud” Reynolds, 72, of Brookport passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
Bud began working at the Westvaco Papermill at its startup and retired from the mill in 2009. After retirement, he began working as a consultant with Asten-Johnson. He was an active member of Waldo Baptist Church in Metropolis where he served as a trustee for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned a purple heart. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and ride horses. Bud especially loved spending time with his grandchildren passing down his love for the outdoors.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Jerry Sue Reynolds of Brookport; two sons, Jeff (Terri) Reynolds of Zachary, LA and Robert (Michele) Reynolds of Paducah; three grandchildren, Trent Reynolds and Clay Reynolds both of Zachary, LA; Keaton Reynolds of Paducah; one sister, Betty McManus of Paducah ; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lincoln and Roberta Angelly Reynolds; and three sisters, Donna Garrett, Judy Reynolds, and Debbie Surrett.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Waldo Baptist Church with the Revs. Trad York and Jack Russell officiating.
Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Waldo Baptist Church.
