Lynn Jones

Marjorie Lynn Jones, 92, of Kevil, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Calvert City Nursing and Rehab.

Lynn was a loving mother and Ma. She loved to cook for her family and taught her grandchildren how to cook. Lynn and her husband Donald “Bumper” Jones, who precedes her in death, were the owners of D&L Bumpers. In her free time, Lynn enjoyed being outside with her flowers and watching the hummingbirds. She was of the Methodist faith.

Lynn is survived by four children, Jackie (Orion) Osborne, Donna Ann Davis, Ronald (Susan) Jones, and Debbie Jones; one sister, Margaret Loftin; four grandchildren, Shannon Davis, Linley (Cy) Shurtleff, Jodie Swain, and Carrie Gibson (Dustin Duckett); eight great-grandchildren, Ashton (Mabry) Heard, Brookelin Urban, JaLee Urban, Chase Shurtleff, C.R. Shurtleff, Cylin Shurtleff, Drew Swain, and Bub Duckett; her fur baby, Pistol Pete; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Lynn in death is her husband, Bumper; her parents, George and Vivian Tinsley; one granddaughter, Tammy Crain; one brother, Jack Tinsley; and one son-in-law, Curtis Davis.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lynn’s family would like to extend their heart-felt gratitude to Mercy Hospice, Calvert City Nursing and Rehab, and Love Right at Home LLC for their care and compassion.
