Marilyn Thompson

Marilyn Thompson, 79, of Paducah, died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Superior Home Care in Paducah.

She was a retired special education teacher for Paducah City Schools and attended Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church.

Marilyn is survived by her four children, Andy (Lynn) Thompson, Debbie (Jeff) Beeny, Joe (Patty) Thompson, and John Thompson; one brother, David (Sandra) Long; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Ervin and Marjorie Long and one sister, Phyllis Simmons.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2 pm at Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at 1 pm to service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contribution be made in her honor to the Paducah Public Schools Foundation at P.O. Box 2550 in Paducah, Kentucky 42002.
