Marion “Snooks” Dumas, 80, of Eddyville, formerly of Lockport, IL, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Marion worked for a number of years as a waitress. She had a green thumb and loved to be outside in her garden with her flowers and plants. Marion was an avid reader who always made sure she had a library card in her reach. She also loved spending time with and baking for her family, especially the grandkids. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in Lockport.
Marion is survived by two daughters, Janice (Mickey) Oeth and Jodi (Mike) Currant; one sister, Jackie (Dennis) Strong; one brother, Jim (Jan) Kraft; seven grandchildren, Shonna Collier, Mickey Oeth Jr., Kerry (Bronson) Fleming, Chad (Nicole) Currant, Jessie (Kevin) Currant, Rachel Hartfiel, and Megan Currant; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Marion in death is her husband, Jim Dumas; her parents, John and Anita Kraft; and one sister, Diane Lawhun.
No services for Marion are scheduled at this time, a burial will be held at a later date.
Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
