Mary Ann Bromer, 72, of Metropolis, IL, went to her heavenly reward at 2:30pm Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at home, where she was lovingly cared for by Lavine Kirby & family. She moved from Robbinsville, New Jersey to Metropolis in 2009 to be with family members . She was a retired New Jersey state worker and a former H&R Block office manager. She spent the majority of her time volunteering to help others thru her life. Her smile and laugh were infectious and made her someone you could not help but love.
She is survived by one brother, George Kish & his wife JoAnn of Florida; one sister, Barbara Beckner of Arizona; nephew David Godfrey and his wife Sherry of Joppa, IL; nephew Matthew Kish of Florida; nephew John Beckman and his wife Carmen of Arizona; niece Joan Beckman-Foley and her husband Max of Arizona; niece Kimberly Armenti and her husband Jason of New Jersey; nephew Robert Godfrey of Pennsylvania; niece Barbara Godfrey of Paducah; and brother-in-law Richard Bromer and his wife Jean of Lawrenceville, NJ.
Mrs. Bromer was preceded in death by her husband, H. Robert Bromer; her parents, George and Frances Kish; and a sister and brother-in-law, Albert and Kathleen Godfrey. She was of the Catholic faith and also attended Word of Life Tabernacle. She will be sadly missed by family and friends who knew her positive determination in life and her commitment to God.
Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday at Word of Life Tabernacle in Metropolis. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 3rd in Allentown, New Jersey, with interment following at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville, NJ.
