March 19, 1920 — February 16, 2016

Mary Elizabeth Lee, 95, of Paducah, died Tuesday afternoon, February 16th 2016 at Baptist Health of Paducah.

Mary was a member of the American Quilters Society and was an active member in the past receiving several awards for her quilting. Mary was also a member of First Christian Church of Paducah. Mary and her Husband Joseph Edward Lee Sr. owned and operated Lowes Manufacturing and Furniture Co. of Lowes, Ky. for many years.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Phyllis (Johnnie) Lee Gentry of Fayetteville, Ar. ; one son, James Earl Lee of Gilbertsville, Ky.; one daughter in law, Theresa Lee of Paducah; one sister, Harriette Stanfield of Keene, Tx.; four grandchildren, Tessa (Steve) Brown of Kuttawa, Joseph Edward (Jaime) Lee III of Sedalia, Carson Kleet Lee of Gilbertsville, and Meryl Elizabeth Lee of New York City, NY.; one great grandson, Colten Lee Gentry of Fayetteville, Ar.; three step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Lee Sr.; her parents, James Earl and Grace Coles Sinclair; one son, Joseph Edward Lee JR.; three brothers, Milton and Everett Sinclair, and Jewell Sinclair; one sister, Louise Ashby Clark; and one grandson, John Brian Gentry.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 21st, 2016 at First Christian Church of Paducah starting at 2pm with Rev. MaryAnn Lankton officiating. Burial will take place later at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the First Christian Church of Paducah, or The American Quilters Society of Paducah.
