Mary Payne Martin, age 86, of Paducah, died at 2: 27 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the McCracken County Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah, and retired as a Social Worker, having worked at the Friedman House and Charter Hospital.
Survivors include her two daughter, Jackie Patterson, of Paducah, and Judy Saliger, of Columbia, Mo. And her two sons, Robert Martin, of Paducah, and William Martin, of Benton, Ky. She is also survived by three brothers, Charles Payne, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Carlton Payne, and Larry Payne, both of Mayfield, Ky. Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Martin Sr. a son, Chester Martin Jr. and 2 brothers, Reuben Payne, and Floyd Payne. Her parents were Hermes and Mary Hardman Payne.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Aitken officiating.
