Biography Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Mary Frances Smith, “Granny”, 87, entered the gates of heaven on Sunday August 17th at 8am while staying at Parkview Nursing Home of Paducah.
Frances was retired from Lone Oak Little Castle restaurant.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia (Gary) Mitchell of Paducah; one son, Rick (Pat) Smith of Paducah; one sister, Jane Thomas of Paducah; four grandchildren, Missy (Mitch) Fiers of Paducah, Stacey(Chris) Ward of Paducah, Ryan ( Carly) Martin of Paducah, and Chris (Stephanie) Smith of Paducah; four great grandchildren, Amber & Tate Fiers of Paducah, and Tyler and Carson Ward of Paducah, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Smith; her parents, Walter and Edna Mae Smith Rodgers, and one son, Rodger Smith.
Visitation will be at Lindsey Funeral Home on Monday evening starting at 5pm. Funeral service is Tuesday at 1pm at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
