Michael Cruce

Michael Cruce, Monica Dee Alvey Cruce, Joshua Michael Cruce and Stephen Caleb Cruce of Benton passed away on October 3, 2014 as a result of an auto accident near Nashville, Tennessee.

Michael, 43 was the Youth Pastor at Rosebower Baptist Church in Paducah. He was a graduate of Marshall County High School and Mid Continent Bible College; and was doing graduate work at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Loraine Warford Peek, and his paternal grandparents, Wilmer and Lucille Smith Cruce.

Surviving are his parents, J. D. (Jim) and Rocele Cruce of Paducah; one sister, Julie (Fabio) Da Silva of Brazil; one niece, Jessey Cruce Da Silva; and two nephews, Jaydan Cruce Da Silva and Jonah Cruce Da Silva, all of Brazil.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Rosebower Baptist Church, with Rev. Kenneth Puckett and Bro. Justin Mason officiating.

Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the church.

Memorial contributions in honor of the Cruce family may be made to the Cruce Family Scholarship Fund, c/o Rosebower Baptist Church, 1120 Tyree Road, Paducah KY 42003. Funds will be used for scholarships for students entering the ministry.
