Michael Wayne Swinford

Mr. Michael W. Swinford, 72, of Calvert City, KY., died Friday evening, January 11th, 2019 at the Ray and  Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

Mr. Swinford was past president of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 337, and Board of Director member. He was a member of VFW, DAV, AL, and Patriot Guard; former leader of Point Man Ministries, and Vietnam Veterans Ministry.  He was a 12 year US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Swinford was also of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Swinford is survived by his wife, Patricia Neal Swinford; daughters, Marlena Wyatt, Amy Zuke, Sarah Swinford; sons, Brian Swinford, John Bryan, and Nathan Henderson; and twelve grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Rose Kennedy Quinn, and Elda R. Swinford; and one sister, Mary Elda Swinford Field.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home from 11am until 1pm. Memorial services will start at 1pm following visitation with Brother Terry McIntosh officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Lourdes Hospice Program of Paducah.
