Nellie M. McCanless 81 of Paducah died at 11:35 am Friday, September 5, 2008 at Western Baptist Hospital. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 am Monday, September 8, 2008 in the Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Entombment will follow. Officiating will be Rodney Hayes.
She was a member of the congregation of the Jehovahs Witness.
Mrs. McCanless is survived by her husband, Sam McCanless of Paducah, a son, Sammy McCanless of Owensboro, KY, a twin brother, Clyde Allensworth of West Memphis, AR, a sister, Hazel Allensworth of California, four grandchildren, Crystal Ford of Owensboro, KY, Tonia Kerr of Bella Vista, AR, Tosha Garza of Twin Lakes, WI and Micah Hamlett of Batesville, AR, seven great-grandchildren, Stevie Ford, Castle Kerr, Corbin Kerr, Ty Garza, Preston Hamlett, Ellana Hamlett and Ava Hamlett.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Hamlett, a great-granddaughter, Gracie Garza, four brothers and her parents, R.C. Allensworth and Nellie Haynes.
Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah.
