Nancy Jean (Jones) Packer

Nancy Jean Packer, 63, of Metropolis passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Mercy-Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Nancy formerly worked at Harrah’s in Metropolis. She enjoyed reading and telling jokes.

Surviving is her son, Jeremy Packer and his fiancé, Jada Foster of Granite City, IL and Michael Benton of Metropolis; four sisters, Lora Ferguson, Brenda Malave, Janice Jones, Gloria Evans McMinn; one brother, Gerald Ray Jones; sister-in-law, Venus Capps; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; and her significant other, Tony Womack.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Packer; and her parents, Harry Lee Jones and Geraldine Jones.

Funeral services will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Lindsey Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
