Biography

Nell Ferguson, 89, of Kuttawa passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa.

Nell was born in Snowball AR November 9, 1923 to Marion Ferguson and Bessie Smothers Ferguson.

Nell pursued many interests in her life. She loved music and sang in Church and with Sweet Adeline's. Her greatest joy was the years spent in service to others with the Billy Graham Crusade in Asheville, NC.

She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; two brothers Ray Thompson of Dixon Springs, IL, and James Garland Ferguson; her husband Thomas Jefferson Eleam; and an infant son.

Nell is survived by her daughter, Alice Eleam of Loveland.CO. Nell has two Grandchildren, Dana Hazlett of Fort Collins, CO, and Scott Hendee and wife Amanda Schultz Hendee, of Milliken, Co. Nell has 5 Great-grandchildren, Denae Hazlett, Dylan and Kaleb Schultz, and Elijah and Austin Hendee. Nell is also survived by one Great-Great-Grandson, Liam Wyatt. Nell was also survived by five brothers, Doyne Ferguson of Lady Lake, FL, Donald Ferguson and wife Louise of Mt. Home, AR, Rev. William Thompson and wife Sherrill of Mentor, OH, Charles Thompson and wife Marilyn of Eddyville KY, and Earl and wife Linette Thompson of Sugargrove, IL, and one sister, Janice Kimes of Greencove Springs, FL.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
