Nora Frances (Turner) Slayden
June 11, 1939 — January 6, 2018
Nora F. Slayden, 78, of Savannah, TN. formerly of West Paducah, died Saturday afternoon, January 6th, 2018 at the Jackson –Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Nora was retired from Sam’s Club and had previously worked at Piggly Wiggly and Biggs markets in the Paducah area. Nora also attended Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, TN.
Nora is survived by two children, Ronda (Mitch) Boulton of Savannah, TN., and Patrick “PJ” (Sara) Slayden of Ledbetter; one sister, Mary Lou (Donnie) Sexton of Kent City, Mich.; one brother, John (Linda Jo) Turner of Lone Oak; three grandchildren, Taylor (Danny) Allmon, Lane and Jake Cavaness; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert A. Slayden Jr.; her parents, Vernon Allen and Geneva Alice Lowe Turner; one son, Randall S. Slayden; two brothers, Charles and Richard Turner; one sister, Linda Holt; one niece, Christie Turner; and one nephew, Tim Sexton.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home form 11am until 1pm. Funeral services will begin at 1pm following visitation with Bro. Mitch Boulton officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.
