Paul Pohland

Dr. Paul A. Pohland, 86, of West Paducah passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at his residence.

Dr. Pohland was a professor and founding member of the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. He was a teacher, organist, choir director, and pastor.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Betty Pohland of West Paducah; three sons, Walter A. (Becky) Pohland of Georgetown, TX, Eric A.(Kristi) Pohland of Fairfax, VA, Glenn E. (Joanne) Pohland of Peosta, IA; one daughter, Ellen L. (John) Adrian of West Paducah; fourteen grandchildren, Chad Pohland, Bryan Pohland, Jordan Pohland, Eric Pohland, Caitlin Pohland, Emily (Jon) Fracker, Madeline Pohland, Bonnie Pohland, John Pohland, Joy (Tim) Janssen, Joel Pohland, Jillian Pohland, Caspar Adrian, Timothy Adrian; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Pohland, Juliana Pohland; two brothers, Albert E. (Linda) Pohland of Laurel, MD, Edward K. Pohland of Sun City, AR; and extended family, Carol and Tim Hargrave.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark F. Pohland and John D. Pohland; one brother, Frederick G. Pohland and one sister, Grace E. Glasco. His parents were Arnold E. Pohland and Eda K. Pohland.

Memorial services will be at 11:00am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Walter Pohland officiating.

Friends may call from 10:00am to service hour on Saturday at the church.
